Under the title “GOLF GOES FINAL” the Golf Charity organized by ALR together with the INITIATIVE DO IT e.V. took place for the 15th and last time on July 01, 2023.
The venue was one of the Leading Golf Courses, the Golfclub Olching. Here, 68 active participants from golf clubs from the Ruhr area to South Tyrol were able to enjoy a relaxed round of golf in glorious weather and pleasant temperatures. As in previous years, the chosen method of play (a so-called “Texas Scramble”) was not only about individual class, but above all about balance and team spirit within the participating “flights”.
The winner for the fourth time was the flight with Moritz Nusser, Michael Nusser, Christoph Litke and Michael Denk with 40 (!) gross points. But the main winners were once again the beneficiary institutions.
Afterwards, we were pleased to welcome more than 110 guests to the evening event.
Since the beginning of the tournament series, ALR has been supporting Cura Placida – Foundation for Children with Cancer – with the net proceeds generated by its site.
In the last edition of the tournament, another € 25,000 was raised to support pediatric cancer research. This means that the total success of the last few years has exceeded the total amount of € 400,000, which was used from the very beginning to support the efforts initiated by Prof. Dr. Stefan Burdach at the Klinikum rechts der Isar (Technical University of Munich) to develop gentle treatment methods in the fight against childhood cancer.
